Business Tax Basics

If you have tax questions, you’re in good company. This workshop is designed to get a bunch of folks together around the coffee table to talk about various tax and business topics. These classes are generally held on Zoom.

This 2.5 hour workshop covers the basics of running your small business. Topics include tax information (what to deduct!), business setup (do I listen to everyone telling me to be an S-Corp?), recordkeeping (was QuickBooks designed to actually ruin my life?), and more. Upcoming dates are either IN PERSON at the Death Love & Taxes office, 2164 NE Broadway St, Portland OR, or on Zoom.

If you’ve got your own group with questions, contact us to come to you and give a personalized small group workshop at your agency, business, coffee shop, etc. Fees vary based on travel and length of workshop.

Last Minute lab

Deadlines are approaching and you’re still, like, NOT READY. Last Minute Lab is the place where you can GET READY! This isn’t tax prep or direct service, but it’s your chance to get that one last question answered before you submit your DIY return, or get a high-level second look on your self-prepared books. Sign up for your 15 minute slot during lab hours. Payment due upon booking; fee varies.
